no escape from love

1.
loving a princess of a faraway land:
and expecting love-
is tough at times and at times tougher!
For I am no prince
and possess no chariot that can defy the sky
and allow me to be an unsettled nymph:
yet faraway-
some voices wait:
I’m sure of that!
(at least our moon is the same!)

2.
Let’s resort to myth…
Broken roads of nervous determination
amplified by the raindrops consolation:
and dreams that haunt the lonely insomniac
and trembling fingers make love,
thousand miles apart!

3.
Keats realized long ago-
and told his folks:
and the voice flows down the streams of blood
it could have reached the present insecurity
yet somehow its just dust today
that reaches the folks who learn
to make acid rain in schools.

4.
Is love analysis?
Lets spend this life together
analyzing-
conclusions are a distant myth!

5.
Shakespeare thought he knew it all-
much before that Plato supposed
he had the answer:
Keats, Milton, and Shelly-they all felt
They were close to the truth
Eliot wasn’t impressed by such stuff
Pablo thought they might have been right
Sylvia tried a different way out
but she lost track and collapsed
Kafka frowned and Marquez smirked at such jokes-
and tonight I have taken up the yoke!
Now you realize how hopeless I sound at times?
Now you realize- I have lost faith in rain!!!

6.
look straight at my eyes-
see yourself safe in there
I think there is a small problem-
I am walking away from my poem-
you might feel lonely at times!

7.

not a word not a smile
no smell of the age old igneous
the dark green moss
marks my lethargy
the moss grows old between my fingers
a thousand eyes call on sleep
at one go-
no caffeine no nicotine
for the mossy eyes calling sleep:
upturned sugar bowl-
butter leaking:
we’ll manage well,
we’ll love well!

That’s what they’ll say….
